On April 29, 2024, we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the groundbreaking of the main building of Mount Carmel High School. If the walls at 64th and Dante could talk, they would be telling stories of those boys who became men; those small kids who grew to become State Champions, those quiet kids who came out of their shell to lead the student body and the kids who struggled in school but went on to earn a scholarship to a prestigious university.
Mount Carmel has been preparing young men to excel mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially for more than a century. Students have been taught, guided and mentored by teachers, coaches, counselors and others who believe in the young men of Mount Carmel. Countless alumni share stories of how the dedicated faculty and staff of Mount Carmel have shaped their lives – those dedicated to preparing young men for the world to be champions. Whether on the field, in the classroom or in the community, the Men of Carmel are challenged to be Champions for Life.
The cost of continuing to provide a quality education to our students, tuition assistance to our deserving families and a fair compensation to our teachers becomes more challenging. Each year, we count on you – the alumni and friends of Mount Carmel - to help us to continue our tradition of excellence.
